Any changes you would like to make [if any (for example, Rory didn’t start dating Sugar in Heart)]: Maybe just the fact that Mike actually did apply to one or two dance schools without telling anyone before his dad found out about West Side Story and all the drama of Asian F.
Detailed Bio of the Character [What has your character been up to these past 7 years?]:
After graduating from high school, Mike went to SUNY Purchase to major in Dance. He graduated in four years with a degree in Dance Composition and began to look for work as a dancer and/or a choreographer. His career in dance has included background work in a couple of movies (His favorite being an animated movie about Dinosaurs where he got to be a dancing Tricerotops) as well as some ensemble work for some Off-Broadway shows. Recently, on a whim, he auditioned for one of those American Idol-y shows for Dance and has gotten called back for the second round of auditions before America is set to vote. He doesn’t really know how he feels about it, but he’s enjoying building new connections in the dance world and hoping that maybe the attention from the show will be able to draw some more choreographing-based work.
Reationship wise, Mike and Tina broke up half way from his sophmore year. After a year apart (while Tina was graduating high school), She and Mike both learned how to live apart and once they were reunited in New York, things never clicked like they did back before. The two amicably decided to end things, although Tina still remains one of his closest friends and biggest supporters. Since then, Mike has dated off and on, but his focus has always been his work. Although, now that he is getting older, he’s starting to get the itch of settling down or atleast finding someone to spend his down time with.
Preferred Ships: Mike/Chemistry.

Writing sample [IC is preferred, but it’s not required. 2+ solid paragraphs - past tense, third person]:
There was nothing better than an audition. He knew how crazy that sounded. With an audition, you were supposed to be more anxious, nervous about if you were going to get the part. But to Mike, auditions were the one moment that he felt like there was no pressure. You couldn’t make someone accept you into their show, play, or whatever. An audition was the one moment that you got to get up on stage and just be. To move to the music in the way you wanted, to dance with your soul. There was no necessary moves, there was no choreography (well, you always had something in the back of your mind, but Mike always liked the flexibility of being able to improvise.) - it was just you and the music and your heart. For that time period, you were dancing because you loved to dance and you were trying to express that to someone else.
He couldn’t remember where he had heard it, but somewhere along the road, a dancer had described to him that when he danced, he felt colors. Red and Yellows and Oranges for the faster tempo stuff, with the pops and locks and stiffness and Blues and Teals and Greens for the fluidity and slow passion that came with contemporary and ballet and such. And ever since then, when Mike got on stage, he imagined himself making a masterpiece, whether it was a firey explosion of passion or a drizzly night that cresendoed into a storm.
